Bimetal washers prevent bimetal galvanic corrosion at copper and aluminum joints.

Bimetal washers prevent bimetal galvanic corrosion at copper and aluminum joints.

The copper cup is composed of a copper plate covered with pure aluminum, and the two metals are diffused together by a roll bonding process to form an inseparable whole.
Therefore, copper is not an alloy, and copper will not be electroplated in the future, but will be mechanically welded to aluminum plates.

It is known that when an aluminum terminal is directly connected to a copper terminal to transmit a current at a high current, bimetal galvanic corrosion occurs, resulting in high resistance at the joint. The heated joint is oxidized and loses contact, resulting in sparks, voltage drop power loss, and such failures that damage the machinery.

When the copper bimetal is placed between the aluminum terminal and the copper terminal, there is no air in the copper bimetal, so the bimetal electrical corrosion is avoided.

Application:
Flexible connector
Cable clamps and cable end connectors,
Isolator and switchgear,
breaker
Bimetal clips and connectors
